Camp reflection

                                            Camp reflection

My favorite part of camp was collecting all of the ice out of the water and i was liking the peace i got out of the river it was very cold.

I thought it was funny that Kash made Andy run back to get his jumper and then i told him to check his bag and it was in there.

I had lots of fun playing spot light  i was rolling around on the field and i was not in  Summer and Kash were in so many times and he was singing on the field.

I had lots of fun running down the hill to the car park from the glacier because i was doing park our over all of the rocks  and it was so fun when we put our hands in the river and Trent pulled a piece of ice to the edge and James pulled it out and he cared it all the way back to the lodge and put it in the freezer.

We went  geocaching  and it was so fun and we ran all over the place and there was a spooky church that we went in it and there was lots of spooky things in it and there was an all black in a grave.

It was really fun when we went swimming i was jumping in off the jetty lots .

We did the tree top walk and Leah was very scared when it was shaking it was very spooky i was running and jumping so it was shaking and wobbling it was very tiring .

I really enjoyed camp and it was amazing. And i would like to go again Brent was a very fun driver  and he was racing ngaio and Andy down the road.

I was sharing my bunk room with cullum Felix and kylee .

Reflection week 8

Multiplication Strategy: Doubling and Halving

We can simplify some multiplication problems using doubling and halving.

1. Use the strategy of doubling one factor and halving the other to help simplify and solve the following problems: Example: 5 x 16 = 10 x 8 = 80 or 5 x 16 = 10 x 8 = 20 x 4 = 80

a) 5 x 68 = 350

b) 3 x 16 =  48
c) 16 x 30 = 480

d) 18 x 40 = 720

e) 35 x 20 = 700

f) 25 x 16 = 400

g) 50 x 24 = 1400

h) 500 x 28 = 14,ooo

2. Does this strategy always work? No only on even and odd not just odd

Explain when the strategy of doubling and halving is useful to simplify a multiplication problem.

This is what we did for maths and I learnt to double and halving

This is the writing i did this week and i learnt that the mountains play apart in a storm.
This is the reading follow up that we had to complete this week.  I refreshed my knowledge on this which we had covered last year.

This is the other maths that we had to do we had to double and halving.  This strategy is a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.

celebs
The All Blacks may have just won the Rugby World Cup but they have also won the support of quite a few celebrity fans!
Ahead of the big final the boys in black received some words of support from some well-known stars as well as congratulations on their record-breaking win!
Celebrities including Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, David Hasselhoff, Russell Crowe, Snoop Dogg, One Direction’s Niall Horan, Lorde, Justin Bieber and even Prince Harry (after England was eliminated) are just some of the stars who are backing black.
Looks like the All Blacks are winners in everyone’s eyes!
